What You can Learn at an Open House

Going to an Open House is a good way to learn about a particular home and that neighborhood. But here are some do's and don'ts.

-Politely ask Questions - ask about the home, motivations for the sellers' selling, about the neighborhood
-Hold Your remarks - with today's technology more and more sellers are able to watch and listen to you are you tour the home
-Listen to others - Listen to what other buyers are saying about the home and neighborhood. They may know something you don't know.
-Avoid sharing too much - it makes sense to engage in a little chit chat with other buyers and the realtor. But don't share enough information about you that puts you at a disadvantage if you were to decide to make an offer.
