How will the labor shortage in home building industry affect you?

How will the labor shortage in home building industry affect you?
70% of home builders nationwide are experiencing a shortage of construction workers. The natural disasters we're experiencing (flooding, fires) will make the situation worse. As people lose their homes, more home building will be necessary. The basic law of supply and demand tells us that as demand increases two things are likely to happen - prices of existing homes and new build homes will continue to rise and it will take longer for new build homes to be completed. If you're thinking about buying, it doesn't look like prices are going to stop rising anytime soon. So you can consider buying now, or wait until prices are higher. Whenever you are ready to start your search, here's a good place to start!
