Jerry and Joann had finally decided that it was time to downsize. The biggest challenge was getting rid of 93 years worth of accumulated possessions. After several months of purging, donating and selling, they were finally ready to list their ranch home. Because of COVID they decided it would make more sense to move into their new apartment before listing their home. Within 2 days of going on the market, they had received several offers. They were very happy that they ended up getting $25,000 over asking price. It was a lot of work to downsize, but they are so happy their life is much simpler, they don't have to worry about maintenance and now they have more time to do things they enjoy.
