Prepare to Visit Open Houses

Some advanced preparation will help your Open House tour be more productive:

-Research neighborhoods and Open Houses scheduled for your preferred day & time
-Plan your itinerary - use the map feature so you most efficiently spend your time and gas.
-Create a checklist - make note of features you like and determine if they are "wants" or "needs" - for instance, you may need a 3 bedroom home but want a 4 bedroom home.
-Etiquette - The price of admission to the Open House is to sign in. If you're not wanting that agent to contact you, after you sign in just politely tell the realtor you are working with another agent so you don't need them to follow up with you.
-Take Notes - as you see more and more homes, they will start to blend together. Notes will help you remember what you liked best about that particular home.
-Take a Closer Look - if you like the home, take a closer look at all the details - not just the floorplan and the features. Ask your agent to take you back to the homes you like for a 2nd look.
