How do you decide which mortgage lender is the best one for your needs? REcolorado has 5 Tips for Choosing a Lender:
1) Shop Lenders - be sure to talk to more than one lender and compare rates, misc. fees and service
2) Interview Lenders - sometime your personality might click better with one lender over another lender
3) Go local and check accessibility - sure shooting, you're going to find your perfect home on the weekend. Is the lender you chose available to tailor your lender letter to your offer - even on a weekend?
4) Know the Total Costs - make sure that the lender has disclosed not just interest rates, but all the other fees and charges that go into obtaining a loan.
5) Trust - in the end, your decision will most likely come down to who you trust the most. You don't want to get up to the week of closing and have the lender pull the rug out from underneath you.

Start by asking your realtor for their recommendation to 3 different lenders.
